Today the IOP announced the selection of the 2016 IOP Spring Resident and Visiting Fellows. Over the course of an academic semester, Resident Fellows interact with students, develop and lead weekly study groups and are afforded many opportunities to participate in the intellectual life of the Harvard community. Visiting Fellows join the Institute for a shorter period and maximize their time meeting with students, faculty and Harvard research center staff. This semester's class bring expertise in city, state and federal government, the arts, civil rights, justice and social entrepreneurship. The class also includes several diplomats who reflect an ongoing student interest in exploring foreign affairs topics in study groups.
“We welcome the Spring 2016 IOP Fellows class — a dynamic group of leaders reflecting the powerful impact political engagement can have both inside and outside government,” said Harvard Institute of Politics Director Maggie Williams.

Republican Strategist and Fall 2013 IOP Fellow Beth Myers to Lead Campaign and Advocacy Workshop
Fall 2013 IOP Fellow Beth Myers, partner at Esplanade Strategies and former advisor, Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign; campaign manager, Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign; and chief of staff, Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (2002-06), will lead the Institute’s "Campaign and Advocacy” workshop this spring. The initiative offers undergraduates a hands-on look at campaign mechanics, aiming to improve students’ working knowledge of campaign management and help them build a portfolio of experience for use on political and advocacy efforts.
